GraphQL and Graph Data: Two Sides of the Same Coin?

Exploring data architecture and the synergies between GraphQL and Graph databases.

LIVE December 01, 2021 | ON-DEMAND REPLAY > WATCH VIDEO

GraphQL and Graph database - are those 5 letters all these technologies have in common? Or does the fact that each has the concept of a graph — albeit different models of the graph — make them close cousins? Is GraphQL more than an easily understood and developer friendly way into a graph database?

Join these industry veterans for what will surely be a lively debate to explore data architecture and the synergies between GraphQL and Graph databases:

  • When and why you should invest in GraphQL or a Graph database, or even use them together.
  • Business logic, access control, keeping data in sync... is one technology better suited than the other?
  • What does it mean for your projects whether the graph is in the metadata and the schema structure (GraphQL) or in the data itself (graph database)?
  • Pros and cons, pitfalls and considerations . . .
